MAGI is a tabletop role-playing game inspired by anime like Puella Magi Madoka Magica, Revolutionary Girl Utena, Sailor Moon, and Marimite, to name a few. It also takes inspiration from the tokusatsu genre, street-level superhero comics like Spider-Man, and games like the Persona series. It's a labor of love, in progress for over 5 years. I hope you enjoy!

What's MAGI?

In MAGI, you'll assume the role of a young adult who's recently gained control of mysterious powers that bend reality and defy logic. In other words, magic. With these powers comes the duty to fight monsters wielding the very same abilities, as well as the chaos that comes with keeping your newfound calling a secret. Magic itself constantly fights against your attempts to control it; abuse it and you'll find yourself in worse trouble than you can solve...

How do I play?

Get some friends and a nice stock of six-sided dice, like the kind from any Monopoly or Yahtzee game! You'll also need pens and paper to keep track of your characters, and one of you will likely want a notebook to record all the extra information a Game Master must keep track of. If playing online is more your speed, a spreadsheet-style character sheet is provided here! In addition, you can roll dice on any online app-- I recommend rolz.org, or you could just try googling "Roll dice" for an in-browser dice solution!
